LIVING ROOM

Affordable furniture is a huge advantage when looking at living rooms. Living rooms are a place where we entertain people. It's where we get together to have family conversations and exchange meaningful conversation with guests. Our living room is the first room people walk into. So naturally, we don’t want something dated or lived in. It needs to be popping, fresh and different. A place you love entering because it's beautiful. A place that maybe inspires your imagination to soar because it's your mind in the form of a room. To transform your living room, focus on these tips.

Reupholstering

The same sofa can be upholstered and reupholstered as many times as you see fit until you’ve got the most use of it. There are no limits with upholstering because you could buy a normal sofa and just add the upholstery you want without settling for what the store has or instead of putting down hundreds for a sofa that you don't fancy very much yourself. When upholstering, try to use subtle, soft colours so even if you change up certain aspects of the room, the neutral colour that you choose will beautifully complement the various other items in the living room.

End Tables

Switch out your coffee table for gorgeous end tables. They're trendy, inexpensive and have much more functionality than the single table in the centre. End tables can be customised. The legs can be painted multiple times to match whatever the new vibe of the surroundings are. Moreover, these can be easily moved, for convenience and to switch up styles whenever it is required. You may have a chair around the house that does not go with the rest of the furniture or might be a little worn out. Don't throw it away, repurpose it as an end table. Just remove the upholstery and backrest and you've got a swanky new end table.

Flooring

There are multiple essential elements that blend to attain the ultimate look for your room. Hardwood provides a certain elegance layered on top of comfort and warmth ultimately resulting in a happy household. While carpets are warm and cosy, wooden flooring is a smart economic decision that you can make for your home. This is because certain types of woods are cheaper and easier to take care of if you install them correctly the first time. Hardwood lasts for a long time and certain types of woods are cheaper than others, for example, oak and birch costs less than cherry wood. Flooring is a great way to save money because it's something that we don’t change very often. Hence, if taken care of and treated well, you will be able to keep the same flooring for as long as you stay in your house.
